I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over 15 years of psychiatric experience. My clinical journey began in multiple inpatient psychiatric facilities as a registered nurse, where I developed a strong foundation in acute psychiatric care. I’ve worked extensively in geriatric mental health settings as well as in outpatient private practice. I also served for 21 years as a firefighter and paramedic with the Houston Fire Department. This experience shaped my deep commitment to service, resilience, and trauma-informed care. It also strengthened my ability to remain calm under pressure and connect with individuals experiencing crisis, grief, and major life stressors.
